PAGASA updates on Typhoon or Bagyong Labuyo.

PAGASA has released the latest updates on Bagyong Labuyo at 11:00 a.m., Today, Friday, August 9, 2013. According to PAGASA Bagyong Labuyo was spotted at 1,000 kilometers East of Bicol Region with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center. It is forecast to move Northwest at 19 kph.


Bagyong Labuyo estimated rainfall amount is from 5 to 10 millimeters per hour (moderate to heavy) within the 300-km diameter of the Tropical Depression.

Issued at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, 10 August 2013 Tropical Storm "LABUYO" " has intensified further as it continues to threaten Northern and Central Luzon.
Location of Center:
(as of 4:00 p.m.)     450 km East of Virac, Catanduanes

Coordinates:     14.0°N, 128.8°E

Strength:     Maximum winds of 105 kph near the center
and gustiness of 135 kph

Tropical Storm "Labuyo" will enhance the Southwest Monsoon which will bring light to moderate rains over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
