Latest Updates: Supertyphoon Yolanda or Haiyan Damages to hit Eastern Visayas, Philippines

SuperTyphoon Yolanda is getting stronger and stronger it is now compared to a category 5 cyclone in the Western hemisphere according to American meteorologists. So it's absolutely a very powerful storm or typhoon to the Philippines this 2013. So all Filipinos are advised to prepare for Yolanda as it already entered the Philippine Area of Responsiblity. Damages to properties, wide landslides are floods are very possible to happen. So to avoid casualties or to be victimized by Supertyphoon Yolanda we have to follow the warnings of PAGASA and be alert.

Supertyphoon Yolanda will hit Eastern Visayas and will be under Signal no. 4 which include “very strong winds of 140 knots (259 kilometers per hour).

Hence, typhoon signal in various provinces has been announced by PAGASA.

Under signal 2 are: Eastern Samar, Samar and Southern Leyte provinces in the Visayas and Surigao del Norte (including Siargao Island), Dinagat Island, northern part of Surigao del Sur and northern part of Agusan del Norte.

Under signal No. 1 are: Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Ticao Island, Burias Island, Masbate, Romblon, Marinduque and southern Quezon in Luzon;

Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Antique, Guimaras, Negros Occidental and Oriental, Cebu, Camotes Island, Bohol, Siquijor, Leyte, Biliran Island and Northern Samar in Visayas; and

Camiguin; Misamis Oriental; rest of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur; and rest of Surigao del Sur,  in Mindanao.
