SENATOR BONG REVILLA’S COMPOUND STANDOFF (SURROUNDED BY COPS)

A standoff occurred at Revilla’s Compound or Mansion in Cavite few hours ago. A very serious matters or argument occurred between the Police and Senator Revilla, he was looking for a search warrant but the police do not have it this incident occurred today May 13, 2013.

MANILA, Philippines -- Police have surrounded the residential compound of Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. in Bacoor City, Cavite where gunmen they attempted to accost early Monday have sought refuge.
The police also arrested six alleged agents of the National Bureau of Investigation during the confrontation.
As of this posting, police have applied for a warrant to search the compound for the gunmen and five vehicles said to contain high-powered firearms.

Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Generoso Cerbo Jr. said early Monday, some 30 gunmen, some wearing vests with NBI and National Police Commission markings, the others introducing themselves as “Kabayan Bikers,” positioned themselves around the Revilla residence.
When operatives of the police Regional Public Safety Battalion arrived to check the situation, the gunmen blocked them, triggering a standoff.
The RPSB personnel called for reinforcements and Bacoor police arrived to negotiate with the gunmen, who claimed Revilla himself requested their presence but could not present any mission order from the NBI.
When the police moved to arrest them, most of the gunmen ran into the compound but not before six of their number were nabbed.
Superintendent Rommel Casanova Estolan, spokesman of the Cavite police, confirmed that five of the arrested men are NBI confidential agents.
Charges of violating the election gun ban will be filed against the six.
Revilla is chairman of the Lakas-CMD.
His son Jolo is the running mate of incumbent Governor Juanito Victor Remulla.
They are running against third district Representative Ayong Maliksi, a former governor seeking to regain the post, and Ronald Jay Lacson, son of Senator Panfilo Lacson, who are the administration's bets.
